Criminal Law Act 1967


The Criminal Law Act 1967 is the Act of Parliament of the United Kingdom . There are some minor exceptions which applies to only England and Wales . Major changes were made to English criminal law , while most of them still in force . The Act has three parts . Part 1 abolished the distinction between felony and misdemeanour and makes consequential provisions . Part 2 abolished a number of obsolete crimes . Part 3 contains supplementary provisions .
