Supreme Court to hear a plea where ONGC had raised issues over fees payable to retired judges who have been arbitrating the public sector undertaking's (PSU) dispute with Ms/ Schlumberger Asia Services Ltd

The top court had warned ONGC of contempt during the last hearing

CJI: what is the amount involved in this case?

Adv for petitioner: 7 crores

CJI: Which are the two names as arbitrators?..Justice Sharma and Justice Shah?

Adv Rohan Ganpathy: we were said that a sole arbitrator can be appointed as per last order

CJI: Who do you want to be presiding arbitrator?

Ganpaty: Justice MK Sharma..we had nominated him in our arbitration note too

Ganpathy: Justice Amitava Roy or Justice Indu Malhotra can also preside over this alternatively

SC: Justice Arijit Pasayat will be the presiding arbitrator

Ganpathy: The fees is laid down in the agreement

SC: The arbitrator will decide the fees. You want judges etc and pay five rupees, ten rupees, no that cannot happen.

ORDER: It will be Justice Pasayat
