Supreme Court to hear Centre’s plea challenging Calcutta High Court’s order of setting aside order passed by CAT Principal bench to transfer Alapan Bandyopadhyay's petition to New Delhi & directing the Kolkata Bench of CAT to decide the case on an expedite basis.

Counsel on behalf of Sr Adv DrAMSinghvi seeks for short passover

SG: Some urgency, kindly have it.

Singhvi: Please have it on Friday or  Monday.

SG: If Dr Singhiv’s client does not do anything till Friday, I have no problem.

Bench: What is the interim relief that you are seeking?

SG: Stay of the interim order. If suppose he goes to Calcutta CAT…..

Bench: Okay we’ll record his statement.

Singhvi: I just have 2 things to say. Your Lordship heard SG for 40 minutes and did not issue notice. Secondly, please do not record anything I will ensure nothing happens.

SG: Dr Singhvi’s oral assurance is good enough. Nothing needs not be recorded.

Bench: List this matter on Friday.
