PRESENTER PROFILE :

Pankti Gohel, Psychologist & Associate, POSH at Work


She is a trained Counselling Psychologist, holding an M.A. in Applied Psychology with specialization in Counselling from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She has worked with diverse individuals and communities including children and adults. Her area of work includes self-image, anxiety, depression, work related challenges, relationships, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and trauma. She has also been an Associate, City Schools and Community Engagement (Teach for India), wherein she was responsible for designing and implementing an effective school and community strategy across Mumbai region for 30 schools with each school catering to two or three communities.

She is an Associate with POSH at Work which provides assistance in complying with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. She conducts sessions in various organisations to create employee awareness and to train managers and leaders about their roles and responsibilities in the prevention and redressal of sexual harassment at workplace. She has conducted:

  • 50+ Employee Awareness Sessions,
  • 25+ Internal Committee Trainings,
  • 25+ Trainings for the role of Managers, and
  • 25+ Trainings for Management & Leadership

At POSH at Work, she has also been working as an External Member for various organisations across different sectors and has handled 25+ inquiries. As a trained Counsellor, while she is sensitive and objective in her approach of handling complaints of sexual harassment, she also operates with a psychosocial lens (apart from legal know-how of the inquiry process) that helps in understanding the underlying factors of abuse and harassment in human interaction.

Through her research and area of interest, she has knowledge of the nuances of human interaction at workplace that contribute to workplace challenges and harassment. Her scope of work at POSH at Work also includes research and content development in niche topics such as:

  1. POCSO (Law on Prevention of Child Sexual Offences),
  2. Understanding Consent and Boundaries at workplace,
  3. Assertiveness at Workplace, and
  4. Overcoming Unconscious Bias.


She has also conducted many sessions on Gender Sensitisation, Consent, and Boundaries at workplace in various organisations.
