SOLI & LawInC Announce National Law Olympiad 2023

  • India’s first Law Olympiad for Law Students and Young Law Professionals

Date: Sunday 14th May, 2023 From 11:00AM To 12:15 PM

Eligibility

All actively enrolled law students at any recognised Law College or University and every advocate enrolled with Bar Council of any State in India, below the age of 35 years will be eligible to register to take test at NLO’23

Syllabus

NLO’23 will be conducted on questions from the following:

  • Subjects and Statutes
  1. Admin Law
  2. Constitution
  3. Constitutional Law
  4. Contract Law
  5. CPC
  6. Cr.PC
  7. Hindu Law
  8. IPC
  9. Maxim
  10. Muslim Law
  11. NIA
  12. TPA

  • Information on Supreme Court

Terms and Conditions

All candidates will have to register themselves by filling the necessary information and payment of requisite registration fee

All registered candidates will be entitled to undertake one (1) free mock test to get acquainted with the environment and NLO’23

NLO’23 will be held Online and will be accessible via desktop website and Phone App (Android) – National Olympiad

NLO’23 will have 150 multiple choice questions, to be completed within 75 minutes. 5 minute bonus time will granted to those, whose link get broken during the test

All correct answer will carry 1 (one) mark

For every incorrect answer 0.25 (Point Twenty Five) mark will be deducted

No mark will be assigned to unanswered question

If two candidates gets same marks then candidate taking less time in submitting the answer, will rank higher

If two candidates gets same marks and also clock same time, then the candidate getting less negative mark(s) will rank higher

SoOlegal & Law Information Center will not be liable for repayment of any fees for any reason what so ever including inability to appear or error because of any technical or electric failure etc.

All questions and answers are set by the Question Editorial Board (QEB) after extensive research and care. The correct answers to the questions will be as set by the QEB. No candidate will be entitled to challenge the correctness of the same in any court of law. Any such action will be at the risk of cost and consequences of the candidate.

New Delhi — 06APR2023— Today at a joint event, Society of Lawyers from India (SOLI) and Law Information Centre (LawInC) announced that they will be conducting India’s first Law Olympiad for Law Students and Young Law Professionals conducted online on Ambedkar Jayanti, 14th April, 2023.

“National Law Olympiad 2023 will be a platform for Law Students and Young Law Professionals, to challenge their legal knowledge and benchmark their prowess among their peers” said Shri ABCDEFG, Chief Spokesperson of the Olympiad. “Remainder of positive quote.”

Each candidate will be expected to attempt 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) online in 75 minutes on 14th April from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. across 16 subject categories ranging from Administrative Law to CrPC to the Supreme Court.

Medals and Cash Prizes

As motivation, in addition to Participation & Appreciation Certificates for all Candidates, like minded partners have sponsored attractive prizes that will be presented to winners by a Judge of Supreme Court of India at India International Center,  Delhi Prizes include

  • ₹1,00,000 cash award and Chief Justice D.P. Gupta Gold Medal
  • ₹50,000 cash award and Law Information Center Silver Medal
  • ₹25,000 cash award and Law Consults Bronze Meda

Law Colleges and Universities also win!

You will also be happy to know that LawInC is also offering a cash award of ₹15,000 for the institution represented by the most candidates per state!

SOLI is Society of Lawyers From India and is led by R.Santhanakrishnan, former President of Commonwealth Lawyers Association, along with Law Information Centre, seek to impart legal knowledge amongst law students and advocates and help them to excel in their endeavor to reach the highest level of professional perfection and  provide justice for all.

LawInC was established as a Society on the 16th of December, 1994 with KTS Tulsi, Arun Jaitley, Harish Salve and Gopal Subramanian as its founder members, with a vision to make data pertaining to Law and information relating to statutes, judgments and courts accessible to all. Dipanker P. Gupta, Justice S.C. Agrawal, Justice D.P. Wadhwa, Justice A. Pasayat, Justice Bhagwati Prasad have been successive Patrons.

A.K.Patnaik J., Former Judge, Supreme Court of India, Badar Ahmed J., Former Chief Justice, High Court of J & K, Jaideep Gupta, Senior Advocate, B.Adinarayana Rao, Senior Advocate R.Santhaan Krishnan, Former President CLA, Aruneshwar Gupta, Senior Advocate, are some of the names driving this initiative.
